Accessibility Statement for Winter Haven Gardens

Winter Haven Gardens Inn and Banquets Center is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Winter Haven Gardens Hotel is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Vision

Blind and Vision-impaired guests can access the content by using a screen reader or screen magnification settings.  Windows users could utilize the free Narrator or paid software such as ZoomText or Jaws. Voice-over is built-in to Apple’s systems.

Hearing-impaired

Hearing-impaired guests may use the relay system to call us by dialing 711.  We will also be able to communicate with you via text and other digital means with your permission.

Wheelchairs and Other Mobility Restricted Guests

Those with physical impairments will find our facilities accessible. We have designated Handicapped accessible rooms and rams to all first-floor rooms. (Please note there is no elevator and those using wheelchairs or who has other mobility restrictions are encouraged to call ahead for accommodations)

Qualified Service Animals are welcome when satisfying the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Please note that there are obviously hundreds of different types of disabilities both physical and mental.  Please be encouraged to call ahead with any special requests specific to you and your loved one. It is our goal to make everyone welcome and comfortable.  We will not get everything perfect, but we will try.
